The Sura (literally meaning “farmhouse”) is a two-building shared community complex; it takes the idea of a farmhouse as a transitional structure between existing, traditional, farming infrastructure and, new, shared, gathering space. The buildings are located at a natural inflflection point within Colina Noua’s new villages and hamlets, and existing farming industry. It architecturally “caps” greenhouses with a community-accessible structure that acts as a necessary Third Space within Colina Noua’s master plan.
